The prince who is born under a bleeding star, he who will save humankind in Westeros. Someone Melisandre’s has been looking for, Azor Ahai. Following the latest Game of Thrones episode, it could be Jon Snow.

In light of Sunday’s episode (May 8, 2016), Melisandre mentioned the Prince That Was Promised, which related to the great prophecy. What is the Prince That Was Promised? According to Melisandre, the prince that was promised coming was prophesied 5,000 years ago but she does not mention who made the prophecy.

At one point, Rhaegar Targaryen thought he was the prince, which believed to him changing his attitude from a bookie to a warrior.

The key of the prophecy itself is that the Prince is “born under a bleeding star”. There’s a lot of speculation as to what the star is, could it be Dawn? Dawn is the great sword that was forged from the heart of a fallen star. Dawn is the ancestral weapon to House Dayne, and Arthur Dayne is the last warrior to swing Dawn, and he was known as ‘The Sword of The Morning”.

Dawn, the sword forged from a fallen star

In the episode 3 of season 6, we see Eddard Stark killed Arthur using Dawn, and instead of dropping it, he carried Dawn to the Tower of Joy. If it is true that Ned was beside Lyanna Stark on her death bed after giving birth to, presumably Jon Snow, then Jon was born under a star forged sword, covered in Arthur’s blood.

Will this support the theory of R+L=J (Rhaegar + Lyanna = Jon) as the prince that was promised and he will save humankind from the long night?
