Manchester United’s German soccer star, Bastian Schweinsteiger to sue a company that makes a Nazi toy figure resembling him, named.. Bastian.
The manufacturer, based in China with headquarters in Hong Kong denied that they created the doll based on him, and said it’s all coincidence.
But looking at the pictures below, it’s kind of hard to believe that it’s all ‘coincidence’ as they said.
It’s not that bad if it’s just a regular German soldier uniform, they simply had to put the swastika eagle logo.
Not only that, the DiD Corp also named this toy figure Bastian. Can it be anymore obvious where they got their inspiration from?
DiD’s representative, Patrick Chan told German newspaper Bild that they didn’t base their design on any footballer/soccer player, ‘We offer no figures based on the footballer. The resemblance is purely coincidental.’
‘The figure is based on a typical German. We believe most Germans look like this. Bastian is a common name in Germany.’
So… let me get this straight, he is being ignorant towards German, and he is being racist for thinking all Germans look alike?
The World Cup and Champions League winner, Schweinsteiger signed for English giants, Manchester United in the summer and has been their star player so far.
