Mad King Game of Thrones
★★★✩✩ In this episode of Game of Thrones Season 6 Episode 6; Blood of My Blood, we finally get to see the Mad King getting slain by Jaime, a full grown Drogon, the Faith Militant vs Tyrell and Lannister and Sam finding another Valyrian steel.

Another week, another Game of Thrones, and the episodes feel like them seem to be getting shorter and shorter because of how awesome they are getting in the build up to the epic battle to come.

This week, we finally found out what happened to uncle Benjen after he was gone missing. Now he is like what? half white walker, half wight and half human? anyways, he got there in time to save Meera and Bran.

Speaking of Meera, her bravery and commitment to Bran is amazing, she kept on going until her body completely gave up. Bran better wife her up once all of this is over.

Bran got to find out how Ned got beheaded, and what happened to the Mad King, who was slain by his Kingsguard, Jaime Lannister while shouting ‘Burn Them All, Burn Them All’. The interesting part is, while King Aerys II Targaryen was shouting burn them all, the scene immediately showed a group of wight chasing Bran and Meera. So, did the Mad King saw the white walkers and the wights in his vision too, and it drove him mad as per this theory?

Sam Tarly finally got Gilly to meet his family. While being insulted by his dad, who by the way would make Tywin Lannister like a baby duck in comparison, Sam realized his house has the Heartsbane, a Valyrian steel greatsword. Sam stole it before fleeing away.

In King’s Landing, Jaime, Olenna and Mace Tyrell marched to the Faith Militant’s stronghold only to find out that the King had taken the High Sparrow’s side. King Tommen then stripped Jaime off his rank from Kingsguard and send him away from King’s Landing.

King Tommen Baratheon takes Sparrow side
King Tommen Baratheon takes High Sparrows’ side as shown on the armor of his Kingsguars. Now they wear the seven pointed star with the crown in it on their armor.

In Braavos, a girl has found out that she has a name after all, a name she should never forget along with a sword from her beloved half-brother. Arya betrayed the house of Faceless Men and retake Needle. The Waif is set out to kill her, but Arya is now capable of facing her with her newly acquired combat skills.

In Vaes Dothrak, Khaleesi realized that she will need more than 1000 ships to move her massive Khalasar across the narrow sea, and she rides on Drogon to ensure that her Khalasar is loyal to her and ready to claim the Seven Kingdoms for her.

What do you think of this episode? In my personal opinion, it’s fast paced, but not that much in it, mostly just a build up to the massive wars ahead, especially the ones we have been waiting for; The Battle for Winterfell, The invasion of Westeros, the invasion of White Walker Army and Cleganebowl?
